Kežmarok Castle is located in the town center. Its construction started in 1462 at the command of Imrich Zápoľský. The Thököly family, who assumed ownership in 1583, rebuilt the Castle in the Renaissance style and constructed an Early Baroque Castle Chapel. The Castle has been destroyed many times by fire. The reconstruction during the Romantic period in the twentieth century is the most recent one. 

Evangelical Wooden Articular Church was constructed in times when Protestants were persecuted in this region. The Church has the outline of a Greek equilateral cross.  The original church was built in 1688 and was rebuilt in 1717 when it acquired its current look. A sacristy is the only part of the church constructed of stone. Since 2008 it has been inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Evangelic Lyceum is home to the largest historical school library in Central Europe. The Lyceum was established in 1531 and has about 150,000 books.
