Magnitogorsk - a Russian city situated on the banks of the Ural River. The city was founded in 1929 and is now the second most populous city of the Chelyabinsk region, one of the business, industrial, cultural and tourist centers of the Southern Urals. It is called the metallurgic capital of Russia. During the Soviet era in the 1930s, a huge Iron and steel works was built in Magnitogorsk. Combining the culture and traditions of these people, their history and achievements, Magnitogorsk is a unique national and geographic alliance, and is sometimes called the place where Europe and Asia meet.
