Renal Care Center Visby
About us
B. Braun has been running its first dialysis clinic in Sweden since September 1, 2018. The clinic is located at Visby Hospital, on the island of Gotland - about 100 kilometers from the Swedish coast. In this medieval coastal town, you can now find the latest dialysis techniques to meet new challenges administered by a highly experienced staff. At the kidney clinic, healthcare professionals handle transplant examinations and donation queries, predialytic studies and various forms of treatment.
The Visby hospital is 115 years old and the dialysis ward is located in a separate part of the hospital building, built in 2006. From the hospital, patients and staff have a view of the Baltic Sea with its waves coming towards the beach.

Tourist Attractions
The island of Gotland is located in the Baltic Sea, 100 kilometers off the Swedish coast. The island, 170 kilometers long and 50 kilometers wide, has about 58 000 inhabitants. Visby is the island's largest urban area and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1995.
Visby has a rich, fascinating history and many relics of the past; most prominent is the high ring wall from the 1250s that surrounds the entire city. During the Middle Ages, Visby was an important trading point in contact with the Hanseatic League in Lübeck.
Gotland also boasts the most sunshine in Sweden - 2 351 hours in 2018 - which makes the island a popular destination for both foreign and domestic tourists.
The rugged limestone landscape gives Gotland a distinctive natural beauty and special look.
